This website also has a mobile App that you are able to download so you can easily access the information even on the go. There is a Q&A section on this site as well. This section has many questions that people have written in about. Some questions were "Does Vinegar go bad?" or "Do you have to put opened bottles of ketchup and mustard in the fridge?" One question that is asked that I personally have thought about before is "Is it okay to put hot food directly in the fridge?"
Another section that is listed on this interesting site is "Shelf Life". This section gives great tips on keeping your food safe. It has a full section on how to properly store your Easter leftovers. Another article they have is tips on how to keep your fruit fresher for longer periods of time. I know myself, I feel like Im always wasting money purchasing fruit that will go bad prior to eating it.
One article that I found the most intersting in regards to our CRP is called, "Expiration Dates, Should you Pay Attention?" The author of this article says, "The truth is, they often have nothing to do with Food Safety." Could this be totally true? My group and I plan on researching and talking about the amount of foods Americans waste each year. Are they wasting more food because of expiration dates?
