Experts have also separated this research into 4 different categories. These categories are Phenomenology, Grounded Theory, Case Study, and Ethnography. Qualitative interviews for research are formal. Quantitative research is different. Quantitative research asks about questions such as How Much? How Many? How Often? and To What Extent?
In the article entitled, "Intro to Qualitative Research" by Beverly Hancock I read about the major differences between Qualitative and Quantitative research. I thought that I knew the complete definitions and differences between the two but after reading this I now know much more. Both are forms of research where you gather information and analyze it.
