The Twitterive that stuck out the most in my mind was Idalis Williams' Twitterive. Although the topic for her Twitterive is a difficult one, I feel that this helps make her writing even better because she really is having these feelings. Her prologue was very very good! She was very clear and explained everything in the beginning. Her first poem called, "That Night" explains the first moment she began to feel this pain. I like how she explained it in so very few words. I really like how she is using the line "click flash click" for her repetend. I think this fits very well because she is flashing from old to new to old again. One thing the group suggested for Idalis to do was maybe do a calendar from day to day of this experience. I think this would help us understand the duration of the experience much better.
The next Twitterive presentation I saw was Tiffany Beach's Twitterive. Tiffany explained that she was very lost on how to end her Twitterive and if she should add more to it. I like the idea of her Twitterive being about her learning Thai and going to ThaiLand to actually visit it head on.. I do agree with Tiffany that the ending to her Twitterive feels as if she has yet to tell the entire story but ended it. It ends way to soon and I feel like I need to know more information about what she did while being in ThaiLand other then just practice Thai. I also feel that maybe she should add more to the Twitterive in regards to comparing how she trained for Thai in Cherry Hill and how that differs from how they train in ThaiLand. i do think that adding the "How to make a Green Smoothie" was a very good"ThaiLand" experience. It felt as if she brought part of ThaiLand home with her and shared it with us. I also liked the picture with the map, ticket stubs, and receipts on it. It kind of shows her trip in one picture.
The next Twitterive presentation that I viewed in class was Angela Tedesco's. Angela chose to writer her story about her Baby Girl, I feel that Angela's Twitterive is amazing and doesn't really need any work. Angela did a great job of explaining her story from the very beginning until the end. I really enjoyed the tagxedo Angela added to allow us to feel her sense of "mumbo-jumbo" language that the DR's were talking to her in.. The YoDio video that Angela added of her singing songs to her daughter at the side of her incubator is extremely touching and allows us to feel her pain. I also liked the poem she put in there under day 7 listed "A Gift from God." This poem fit in very well. I feel that Angela has plenty of information in her story and made sure it is complete. Her hard word definitely shows!
The final presentation that I viewed in class was Allyson Robenalt's presentation. Allysons presentation was another one that hit my feelings rather close to home. Allyson decided to do her Twitterive on the relationship that she has with her Father. This hit me close to home because I also have a great relationship with my Father. I feel that her presentation is going in a good direction. I really like how Allyson added music into her Twitterive that explains her relationship with her Dad without actually talking. The music itself such as, "You've got a Friend in Me" tells a story about them. The song, "Just the Two of Us" also explains her story with music instead of words. The letter that Allyson added into her Twitterive from herself to her Dad is also very touching and works with the story she is trying to tell. One thing that I believe would make Allyson's Twitterive much better would be to maybe take out the dictionary meaning of a Father and have her make up one of her own. Every Father is different so Allyson could make a definition that fits her Father better.
